- Migration from 1.0 to 1.2
- Posted by Robert Desbiens on April 5th, 2004
Hello!
I am using the version 1.0 of the CRM and I'm trying to move to 1.2.
I did a clean install of 1.2 in a new domain and want to transfer the data
back to the new server.
I did look at the Data Migration Framework to do that but I think it is a
bit complicated to have to learn the database structure in order to transfer
my information.
Can I transfer the data directly from one server to the other without having
to use the Data Migration Framework?
Is there any other option to consider than the Data Migration Framework?
Robert

sorry robert...there is not easy way to do this
your options are
1 - data migration framework
2 - scribe migrate
3 - write your own code
the problem is that every record created in crm is tied to the active
directory. If you move to a different domain you no longer have the correct
link to the ad objects as your are now in a new active directory
