Missing Product Catalog Link on Settings Page
Posted by monsoa1 on April 7th, 2005

I am trying to modify the current Unit Group settings within MS CRM 1.2.
However, the "Product Catalog" link is missing from the Main Settings page.
Was it moved by way of applying one of the patches? I have been unable to
find any documentation concerning this item. Any idea of how to recover the
link or an alternate method to access Unit Group settings?

Thanks in advance,

Yes I do. I have been running this installation for about 18 months and did
not notice problem until recently. I am not sure exactly when it went missing
but it must have been in the last month or two.

Are you running Great Plains?

Once Great Plains is installed and integrated to Ms CRM (using the MBS
integration module) all the product catalog maintenance has to be done
through GP.

We are not running Great Plains, however, we did install the specialized
version of Biztalk for CRM which I believe was designed to connect to a Great
Plains ERP. We subsequently uninstalled the Biztalk server. If what you are
saying about Great Plains is true, perhaps the Biztalk installation removed
the link. If that is the case how do I get the link back or recover access to
the module?

Installing the biztalk adapter is probably what removed the Product Catalog.
Unfortuately I do not know how to restore the Product (and Invoice)
functionality. Try looking at the Security Roles - it may be here.

Sorry that I cannot be more helpful - over to the rest.
