Missing Settings TAB
Posted by issyp on February 20th, 2007

Hi, bit frustrating I have set up MS CRM PRofessional in the prescribed
manner. When I open outlook there is no settings option in hte navigation
pane. The user that is signing in is set as System Administration the
Restricted access button is off. I see everything else. Sales services
marketing. Obviously without this Icannot set up any product lists. I must be
doing something wrong but I can't see it. Any help would be gratefully
recived.

Regards Paul

Hi Paul,
This was one of my initial frustrations as well, and it is a limitation of
the Outlook Client. The "settings" area is not available using Outlook. You
must use the web interface to get to this area instead.

Hi Amy,

I am having the same issue, only it is not available using the web interface
or Outlook. This is only happening to one admin. Mine works fine. Any
suggestions?

I am having the same issue. No settings tab in Outlook, or Web interface.
Using Vista, Outlook 2007, and have the latest updates??

I have resolved part of the problem. If you close Outlook, and the log back
into CRM Web interface the settings tab will be there, and works. Hope that
helps.
