- Move custom field data from Product to Quote product

Ok. I thought it was going to be possible to move data from a single field
on the Product record to a single field on the Quote record, without using a
web service. I was led to believe that this was going to be possible in CRM
4.0 either through mappings or workflows. Am I missing something?

Hi Michael.
Specifically I want to move a custom field called Gross Profit from the
Product record to the Quote Product record, when the associated Quote Product
is chosen. Ex. Choose Widget A as a Quote Product, and when saving the form,
the field Gross Profit updates with the correct data on the Quote Product
Form.
