Moving CRM to new server
Posted by Chen Hirsh on December 19th, 2006

I haven't try that on SBS. but I think it should be the same procedure.
1. back up your existing databases, customization and workflows.
2. install your new domain controller and create users.
3. install SQL.
4. create 2 new databases on SQL server. one for MSCRM and one for
METABASE.
5. restore the backup databases into the new ones. don't forget to
check "overwrite the existing database".
6. install and run the redeployment wizard. you can find it on the CRM
installation CD.
7. install CRM. chose connect to existing databases, and point to the
SQL server. (you should also point report server URL to the SQL
server).
8. import customization and workflows.
you're CRM is installed. if you want more details, I recommend the CRM
implementation guide at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
hope this will help you,
Chen
