Posted by Daniel Walzenbach on October 11th, 2003

Hi,

I need to know if Microsoft CRM can be run on a Windows 2003 server?

Thank you!
Best regards

Daniel Walzenbach

P.S. If you need to contact me simply remove ".NOSPAM" from my email address.

Right now the current verson, 1.0, does not support 2003, and people trying have had mixed results. The next version, 1.2 (due Dec.) will support 2003.

Have you seen any indication that a Beta or test version is being tested by
a large group of Beta testers? If not then it may not be practical to expect
a usable release actually getting to end users on December 1 of this year.
Considering that substantially all of the feature set of Windows 2003 was
available to developers as early as the end of 2001 and the CRM developers
still released a product for the first time in 2003 that was so incompatible
with Windows 2003 they may not be capable of detecting many of the
compatibility issues without a large beta test.

Hi Daniel,

since you are from Germany:

the German version, probably available in December (MS CRM 1.2), will be
compatible with w2k3. The current Version that is available via MSDN and
in the US (1.0) is not.
