- MS CRM Dynamic Export - how to avoid losing Excel edits
- Posted by Greg R on February 20th, 2007
When I export as a Dynamic (so I can choose additional columns) Excel file
and make edits, I save the file, and when I re-open it I lose my edits. How
can I save the file with my edits? The static export does not give me what I
need.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I would copy the entire contents of the Excel spreadsheet, open a new one,
and do a "paste special" and paste in the values. That will separate the
data from the dynamic query that generated it.
Hope that helps!

Eric,
Thanks much - that works. Simple solution but hadn't thought of it.
