- MS Outlook Distribution Lists
- Posted by Valya on September 10th, 2003
Hi
I want to be able to select/filter my Outlook contact
database--"pulling" a specific Category of contacts out
to send an email to.
This would seem a more logical way to "distribute" an
email as manipulation of the contact (taking it in or out
of a distribution) can be done on a record by record
basis rather than having to scroll through the ENTIRE
Outlook database...and then removing or adding a user.
Anyone know how to do this? thanks

From your contacts forlder, click on View...Current View...By Category.
Expand the category that you are interested in to see all the contacts under
this category. Select all these contacts and drag them over to the Inbox
folder. They will all appear in the To: box. If you want, you can cut and
past to the BCC box if you don't want them to see all the names when they
get the message.
