- MSCRM.pst file
- Posted by moomin on March 19th, 2007
The desktop client for CRM 3.0 creates a MSCRM.pst in the "C:\Documents and
Settings\[userName]\Application Data" folder.
I thought that that the desktop client stores all data on the
server? Why is this file needed and what data does it contain?

Hello,
Please use the new (just released) CRM V3C client. Apparently you are using
an older version. Have a look at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
To also give you an answer: the old client uses a .PST file to store the CRM
folder structure. The new V3C will instead use a MAPI store.

Can anyone tell me whether the installation logic has been changed in this
new version? Can this client be deployed in large organizations? We had
problems with the CRM 3.0 Outlook Client deployment.

Hello,
When you download the new client, you can also download the new chapter from
the installation guide. Installation logic more or less is the same. However
the client now also includes support for Vista and Office 2007. And includes
a lot of hotfixes.
Best regards,
