MSCRM Web: E-mail signature
Posted by Mr. Octal Storm on August 14th, 2003

How can you get MSCRM Web version to stamp each e-mail with "signature"
containing name, address & phone. It appears that you can's attach a text
file "signature" without resorting to an e-mail template. This is bad -
even for a 1.0 product from MS.

While we are talking about e-mail probems on the e-mail client version...

2 more questions

1. Is there a "fix" for e-mails (in & out) to have the normal word wrap -
instead of one continuous line?

2. The enter key returns 2 lines instead of one. Why? A shift-enter
provides a single line. Any work around?

Email Templates are the answer for this...Settings | Template Manager |
E-Mail Templates. You can reference the User for name, address, and phone.
For other HTML items, you can place them on a public web page, copy/paste
them into the template.

1. I'm haven't experienced (or noticed) this.
2. Shift+Enter is the way I get one line when entering an email. I was
suprised at the limited formatting tools as well. I'm hoping to see this in
future versions.

The reason for Enter returning 2 lines is that the email is being HTML
formatted. In this, Enter is actually inserting a <P> tag which translates
to a paragraph. Shift-Enter inserts a <BR> tag which only does a single
line. This is the same way the Outlook works when you send a HTML formatted
email.
