- Multi Brand Organizational structure
- Posted by claudio on July 13th, 2005
i have just a simple question.
I'm trying to identify the best way to design the organizational structure
of my company. My company is a group, made of different brands located in
different places. Every brand has to own its own entities (like contacts) but
have also to share them with the users of the other brands. I have tried to
create differnt roles (like viewer or power user for each brand) and to
assign to a user two basic roles: power user for the brand to which he
belongs and viewer for the over brands.
Actually this is not possible.
Have you any suggestion?
best regards

This might be where you would want to use CRM's Business Units. You can
create a different business unit for each brand. Each user would belong to
his/her associated business unit, and you could set the privileges for their
roles to allow them to create, read, update, and delete records in other
business units as desired.
