We have a sister company and we want their sales people to use our CRM.
Do we have to create user accounts in our domain from them? Or does MS CRM
have its own user management in addition to the Active Directory?
the other question is: can the CRM handle multiple companies? How does that
affect sending emails by users?

Hi John, in MSCRM, you have to set sister/sub companies up using Business
Units. I'm not an AD pro, but I think you could set up a domain trust with
the sister company, and then give the users access to CRM. Maybe someone
can provide more detail on how this might work.

its easier than that
lets just say that company one is domaina and is where crm is installed.
You want companyb to access. Basically if someone tries to connect from an
untrusted domain they will be prompted for a login.
If you create an account for them they can connect and just put in their
login details

John makes a great point. The only issues with this are:
1) You loose your single login
2) People's passwords need to be maintained in multiple places.
If user's change their password on their home domain, they will loose access
to CRM until someone manually updates their password on the second domain.
If those aren't issues for you, then this is a quick, simple solution.
