- Multiple Databases in CRM 3.0
- Posted by Raj Mitta on January 17th, 2006
Are multiple databases supported in CRM 3.0 and if they are how can we
switch between databases?
We have 5 different contact databases in Goldmine and would like to keep
them separated when we migrate to CRM.
Thank You

No, only 1 default SQL Server instance per install, so:
1. you can install several microsoft CRM instances pointing to differenct
SQL Servers
2. partition you business unit/security role so that the user only see
"their" data
Good luck.

You might also consider Virtual Server 2005 or VMWare, although you'd pay a
small performance price for the virtualization.
