Is it possible to have a user who is not part of the domain login in to CRM
3 with their own credentials ? When adding user, it wants a domain login
account

thanks in advance

You could create a domain User account and then use this to create CRM user.
Set the users IE options to prompt for credentials then the user should be
able to log in using the account you have just created. As long as they are
able to access your Corp Network that is.

Thanks Michael, that's the route I was hoping I didn't have to take unless I
am able to register multiple CRM accounts against one domain account?

Hello,

Each user in Microsoft CRM will have a unique domain account. This is by
design. It makes it possible to see which user takes which action to a
particular customer. And enable workflow. Also you can revoke access to the
system for one particular user. For example when a person leaves the company.
