- Not Authorized to view this page
- Posted by Dave on April 1st, 2005
Hi Guys,
I have recently installed CRM 1.2 onto a clients server running sbs2003.
Since I needed sharepoint to run, I moved sharepoint to a different website.
I created a new CRM website and installed it. It worked corectly. I have
now had to change the ip address of the server and websites. I can log onto
sharepoint without a problem, but CRM keeps giving me a 'You are not
authorized to view this page' error. I also cannot log into workflow
manager, 'I am told that the server localhost is not responding.'
Can anyone give me a solution to solve this? Please realise that while I
have a fair bit of experience with sbs2003, this is my first install of CRM
and I don't know much about it. Thanks for any help.
Dave.

Hi Dave
Have you changed the IP address in IIS manager for the CRM website? If not,
right click the CRM website, select properties then click Advanced. Select
your CRM website and select edit, type in your new IP address and click ok.
Run an iisreset and try to access CRM again.
Any joy?
Cheers

bHi Dan,
I have changed the ip address in iis manager for the website where you
described. I removed the entry and readded it but to no avail.
I think there may be something other than the website affecting CRM as I
can't add new CRM users in deployment manager. It gives me a response of
"server localhost is not responding...you may not have sufficient security
privilages..."
I have given domain admins rights to the SQL databases and I have added
Administrator to every security group that even sounds like it may have
something to do with CRM.
The 4 CRM services are running in services, but it just seems like CRM is
not running.
Any more ideas?

Hi Dave
What account are the 4 CRM services running as? Make sure they all use the
same account and try localsystem as well as your CRM domain admin account for
them.
I've presumed you are running SQL on the same box, is this correct?
What address are you trying to open CRM with, have you tried
http://yourservername? Or only localhost?
If you go to IIS manager can you right click>browse these two pages?
Microsoft CRM Version 1.2>bar_logo.aspx (should return a graphic)
Microsoft CRM Version 1.2>MSCRMServices>BizUserSDL.srf (should return xml)
Cheers

Hi Dan,
The 4 crm services are running as localsystem. I installed CRM using the
Administrator account. I have SQL 2000 SP3a installed on the same box. I
have tried to connect to http://localhost, http://servername and
http://crmipaddress. All to no avail. bar_logo.aspx returns a 'you are not
authorised to view this page' page. BizUserSDL.srf returns a 'page cannot be
found' error.
I have logged on as another user who I joined to as many security groups for
crm as I could find, but nothing changed.
Any more ideas? I have been searching the web endlessly but I have not
found anyone with a solution yet.

Hi Dave
As long as the logon user for the CRM security service has a suitable level
of permissions, you shouldn't be getting the not authorised error.
Could you try changing the MSCRM services to use the domain admin account
that installed CRM. Also check what account MSSQLserver is using, you can try
changing this to the domain admin account also to test.
If CRM does work after changing the above you may want to test the
BizuserSDL.srf page again as this error could well be a seperate issue, for
which there is a solution.
If there is still an issue opening CRM you can add the CRM server to these
groups:
(Under Microsoft CRM OU) Privusergroup, SQLaccessgroup, SQLrepl, Usergroup
And also:
(Under Bultin) Pre-windows 2000 Comatible access (if your domain is not
entirely 2003)
And also you can add your CRM domain admin account to the local
administrator group on the CRM server.
Let me know how it goes.
