offline error?
Posted by Brandon on July 16th, 2004

I'm using SBS2003 and CRM 1.2. Everything works wonderfully except the
outlook offline feature. I keep getting an error indicating that it could
not locate an entry in the sync database and it references
"companyname_MSCRMDistribution". Any ideas?
tks,
Brandon

is this the first client you have tried to go offline with? It may be worth
tricking the SFO client to make it think you have never gone offline before.
In outlook I assume you are online mode with CRM. Shut down outlook then
make these registry changes to the client computers CRM registry then
restart outlook and go offline. Lastly are you on your office network when
you attempt this?

In the clients CRM registry under hkeylocalmachine\software\microsoft\mscrm
you will see three entries

1) remove regvalues UserReplicationId and LastSyncDate
2) Set regvalue RCOffline = 0
3) Restart Outlook and try GoOffline

It would be a good idea to go to your SQL Manager. Go to
the machine that is holding your MSCRM Database and look
for a database that has a "_Distribution" on it. Might
be u dont have this database created. This database
holds all replication to the MSCRM Database and is the
middle man for the syncing processes for all SFO Client
machines.
