- offline - no data visible
- Posted by stefan on June 21st, 2005
Hello,
no data are visible in the offline mode. In the online-mode you can see
all activities, contacts and so on. No error, no eventlog entry.
I tried the netbios name instead of the FQDN in the systemuserbase and
delete the registry keys lastsyncdate, sqlservername and
userreplicationId. Same problem
???
thank you

Here is what I found.
If you do the following, your first Go Offline synch will show no data even
though the synch is apparently successful:
1 Create AD user account with user logon name domain\JohnB
2 Create CRM user - domain logon name = domain\JohnB
3 Change user logon name from JohnB to John.Balsillie in AD
4 Install SFO
5 Test Go Offline - no data visible
Thinking it could be the change to logon name causing the problem:
6 Change user logon name in AD back to JohnB
7 Test Go Offline again - still no data visible when offline
Maybe hit it with a bigger stick:
8 Uninstall SFO and MSDE as JohnB
9 Reinstall SFO and MSDE as JohnB
10 Test Go Offline - finally worked data visible offline !!!
So much for AD integration!
However, it appears that I can now change domain name (again) and data will
still synch when Go Offline/Online is invoked.
So it appears that you MUST do a first full synch (Go Offline) after you
have defined the user in CRM and before you can change the logon name in AD.
Changes to logon name AFTER a full synch appear to be ok.
