- Opportunity Relationship Role - Customer Lookup Dialog
- Posted by Robyn on June 15th, 2006
Our company has decided to associate Opportunities with Accounts and to use
the Opportunity Relationships to associate the Opportunity with the
appropriate Contact or Contacts by role.
One thing they are not happy with is that when in the Opportunity
Relationships they click to search for the Customer record to associate with
the Opportunity, it defaults to Account rather than Contact.
I can see that this page is calling the dialog and passing in the following
parameters: lookuptypes="1,2" lookuptypenames="account:1,contact:2"
If there a way I can modify this page so that when the user clicks on Browse
Customer, it defaults to Contact search rather than Account search?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Robyn

There is no supported way of changing the order or defaulting to contact in
CRM 3.0 for this lookup. Thanks for your suggestion. We will consider
correcting this issue in a future service pack or release.
