- outlook contacts and mail merge subject
- Posted by mv on March 25th, 2005
Hi,
- is there a possibility to convert all contacts in crm to contacts in
outlook (now if you create a contact from sfo it creates both, but we still
have contacts that were created via the browser)
- is there a possibility to alter the mail merge subject. if you do a mail
merge from sfo, it automatically adds an activity, but this has a standard
subject "Word Mail Merge...", but we want every mail merge to have a
different subject
Thanks in advance

You need to Go Offline in SFO to sync contacts. First you need to
click on the Microsoft CRM folder in the left hand pane in SFO and
then select Tools & Options. Check that under 'Create Microsoft CRM
items in my default Outlook folders' that you have Contacts checked.
For Note: I always uncheck My Tasks here to stop Outlook from being
swapmed with tasks from CRM.
Then click on Go Offline on the CRM Toolbar
which provide enhanced mail merge facilities such as Cubizz

If you are searching for a Add-On which allows you to
make mailmerges and write a letteractivity with
your own defined subjects you can look at
www.mscrm-addons.com and download the
WordMailMerge Add-On.
