Outlook Sync issue
Posted by Johnty on May 12th, 2004

I am having a problem with the offline - online
features. It appears that if the user is not part of
local admins group on the PC the offline - online will
not work correctly!! if this is the case (Why)?? and how
can we change it, so normal users can work with out
problems.

regards

Johnty

Hi:

This is due to the way the SFO client is architected, at this time the user
MUST be a member of the local admins...

Hi,

it´s a must, that the user must have local admin rights, because some
settings are written in the HKLM\software\microsoft\mscrm registry. The next
version MSCRM 2.0 will change this.

Hmmmm, this is going to affect out roll out. As we do not
grant our users admin rights by default. I wonder how
many other company's work in the same manner.

Cheers
