- pivottable from MSCRM issue
- Posted by Scott on October 17th, 2006
I have over 30,000 leads in MSCRM. Each are time stamped with mm/dd/yyyy
hh:mm. I built a pivottable that has all leads YTD but I can't figure out
how to sort the data by monthly totals. If you try to put the creation date
into rows, it gives you 30,000 different options instead of the 12 months.
Does anyone have an idea of something I could try to break the leads into
monthly totals? Thanks

Right click on the dates control in your pivot table (the grey control box)
and choose 'Group & Show Detail' then go to group and it will let you group
by day/date/month/quarter etc (if it is a date field)
