- Please Verify You have enough crystal license
- Posted by Carrie on November 18th, 2005
Hi,
When i click the report module on CRM, i got the following error.
Crystal Reports Logon Error
Please verify that you have enough crystal licenses
I noticed that in ISS Manager, the 4 extensions are also missing (.cri,
..rpt, .csp, .cwr). Also if i go to http://crmserver/reports/crystallogon.csp,
the page will return http 500 internal server error.
I also saw KB 862678 on how to rebuild the crystal Apps. In this case, can i
just upload the report toolkit into my crmserver??
Why did i get the internal server error when i logon to crystallogon.csp??
Any ideas as why this is happened?
Thanks
Carrie

Hi Carrie,
Please note the KB article with number 875086 as well. There are more
possible resolutions regarding this message then rebuilding the database. I
would save rebuilding the database for the last resolution.

Hi All,
Thanks for your feedback. I tried to perform the 12 steps mentioned on KB.
However none of them can solve my problem. I am guessing maybe it's caused by
the crystallogon.csp error that i received. Is there a workaround for this??
Thx,
Carrie

Carrie,
Have you tried rebuilding the APS database according to the KB article?
This you should do, including the last step, running the report toolkit.
Kind regards,

Hi Ronald,
I have not rebuilt the apps DB yet. One of my concern is that, when i
rebuild the apps DB,
will it somehow fix the link to http://servername/reports/crystallogon.csp
since i always got
http 500 internal server error messages when i logon into that page?? This
page should
return some xml code right?
If my crystallogon.csp still errors out and i just rebuild the apps DB, will
this fix my problem??

Hi Carrie,
There can be several reasons why the crystallogon.csp will generate the 500
error message. There's quite a big change that this is because of a failure
in the database. If the database is fixed, then the crystallogon.csp will
show correct xml data and your reporting will work again. If not, then you
really should open a case with MBS.
With kind regards,
