- Preventing e-mail responses from being tracked automatically
- Posted by rj.caswell@ideaca.com on February 13th, 2007
Hello,
At our company, we do not want any e-mails tracked unless a user
explicity clicks "Track in CRM". However, users have stated that e-
mails have been tracked without them actually selecting the "Track in
CRM" button and this has resulted in personal information being
tracked in CRM.
Also, when a user selects "Track in CRM", it appears that any replies
are also being "tracked" however this does not appear consistent. Can
anyone outline how we can control this? Basically, our company would
like NO emails tracked or replies tracked unless someone explicitly
clicks TRACK IN CRM.
Our present setup includes:
Organizational Settings:
System Settings (E-mail tracking tab) - Track E-mail is set to NO,
Exclude e-mail is set to YES
Personal Settings (CRM / Options): General tab - Track E-mail messages
that contain a Microsoft token
Thanks in advance for your help

This can only happen if you have the exchange CRM router installed. This
tool will track incoming CRM emails
