Price List Updates
Posted by Ian Kelsall on February 26th, 2008

Hi all,

anyone have any smart ideas on updating price lists ?

We sell software products so frequently have new version we want to add to
the product catalogue but the data in then is very similar to existing
products.

I dont want to edit the existing items as I need to keep them.

Imagine we have "XXXX Version 1" in there, and Version 2 has just been
released.

I want to add V2 as a new product, but it probably has the same or similar
description to V1.
I dont want to edit the V1 oproduct as I still need to sell that to some
customers.

I guess I need a "copy" button - so I can creat a copy of existing product
and just tweak the data.

Ian

Ian,

The company I work for (www.altriva.com) had to develop a web app that
takes an excel spreadsheet as input and imports them into CRM 3.0 via
the SDK. The excel spreadsheet was generated by selecting from the
filtered view, modified by hand in excel, and then imported by the web
app. We are a consulting company and always looking for new clients,
so send me an email if you're interested in hearing more.

Thanks,
