Primary Contacts

Our customers have multiple locations/offices which we create as multiple
Accounts in CRM. We then put all the contacts for each location under their
respective Account, excpet for the Primary Contact.

If a Contact is the Primary for more than one location, users have just been
using the Primary Contact lookup to find that Contact in the Parent Account
and add them to the other locations.

Is this a common practice? I find doing this is hard to query on.
