Print Quote for Customer
Posted by Tony on May 24th, 2005

Hi
Could any one of you kind people please help answer me if possible, if there
is any way (besides Crystal) in 1.2 to control the output of the type of
data Print Quote for Customer.

For instance is it possible to get more data driven for the customer as
linked to the quote. I don't think so, as I believe the application logic
for this is tied quite clearly down to the fields it will expose about the
entity in MSCRM in this particular function (in the same way as, for
instance, you can only export/import c1/c2 fields in GoldMine's default
export import tool).

Having looked at the group already, I deem the answer to be "no" but having
been asked quite clearly by someone what the answer is and asking that I
might post this group, it might help to see a definitive answer from someone
with more experience in this, or whether there was a "workaround" involving
an add-on, perhaps.

Thanks and Regards,

Tony

Hello!

We have an Add-On which gives you the possibility
to merge Data from MS CRM with a Word Template.
The difference between the Standard Outlook functionallity
is that our Add-On gives you the possibility to select which
columns you want( also custom columns).
You also have to possibility to get data from the customer.
( all columns including the custom columns)

If you are interested you could download the WordMailMerge Add-On
Trial at www.mscrm-addons.com

Hi,

We have used Word to create our own Sales Quote. Data is retrieved
from the local database for display on the Sales Quote, prior to
printing. This Sales Quote, along with a few other custom forms, are
selected for printing from a new 'drop down' type field on the Sales
Quote form. I'm not sure if this helps, but we've used MS Word and
Excel and use VBA code to retrieve and format data on our forms.

Hello Tony,

One more option for you: our Quick Quote add-on allows you build
multi-line item quotes quickly - and output a nice looking quote in
Crystal with custom fields.

Good luck!
