- Problems installing Sample Database on SBS2K3,CRM 1.2
- Posted by on July 2nd, 2004
When running the sample databse wizard I get the error
message "The currently logged-on user does not have a
Microsoft CRM license. Please contact your system
administrator." I'm using the same account I used to
install CRM, the administrator account. I have no problem
bringing up MS CRM (http://mscrm) & logging in with this
account on the server, however it isn't listed under
users in Settings>Business Unit Settings>Users. Also, its
not listed in the deployment manager under user
manager>Adventure Works Cycle. I've found 1 reference to
this specific error message with no answer, so if anyone
has an answer for SBS2K3 with CRM 1.2 - help?
Thanks in advance,
SD

You need to assign a license to the user in the System setup area. Often, there
is a record there, it just doesn't have a name.

Sorry Matt, I don't really understand your answer - could
you elaborate? I don't see the System setup area in the
Deployment Manager or the Settings section of CRM. Thanks
for your help!

Sorry, I see the account in Settings section of CRM now -
but I swear it wasn't there earlier. Thanks!
