Bhaskar,
There are typically 2 causes for this:
1) The user you are logged in as does not have a license or does not have
one that enables viewing of products.
2) The GP Integration for CRM has been installed. In this case, only the
Integration user has access tot he Product Catalog.

What user is the "Integration User". Our installation was
installed under Administrator, but whether I login with
that or with a user with complete authority we do not see
the Product Catalog as described in the tutorial. Our
version is 1.0.3017.0

Brent,
The Integration User only comes into play if you have installed the CRM
Integration to great Plains. If you haven't installed this, than that isn't
the problem.
What type of license do you have assigned to your users?

Hi, thank you for the reply. All the users are assigned with Professional
suite licenses. The role assigned is system administrator i.e they have all
the rights to create products. Inspite of having all this roles we are not
able to see the Product Catalog.
This is the fresh installation with Adventure works cycle. With previous
installation we could see the product catalog appearing.
Please help!!!
Thank You

Ok, we installed the product from the MS Partner Action
Pack. We have set up the system with the standard suite
license (5) and can add users, tasks, clients, leads,
etc. But no user, including Admin (which it was installed
under), that is set to use any of the rolls has the option
to go to Product Catalog under the settings tab. Their
are only 6 options under settings and I think their should
be seven. I see in the table scheme that the tables for
products was installed. Should we be able to get to the
Product Catalog through the web client? Is there a screen
or setting we must set to activate the product section?
I have read through most of the pages on this board and
besides Bhaskar I haven't seen others with this problem.
Bhaskar where did you install your product from? What is
the latest update?
Thanks for all of your assistance.

Brent,
I am pretty sure the the Action Pack license is a Standard license and not a
Professional license. You can verify this in User maintenance on the
maintain License tab of a user. Product Catalog is only available with the
Professional license.

Bhaskar,
I don't know what to suggest other than to open a ticket with MBS support.
The only 2 causes of this that I am aware of are the ones I indicated.
