- Product & Pricelist relation CRM 4
- Posted by Munk on April 10th, 2008
I have 2000 products imported from a xls file. And have just one pricelist.
But before I can use/select the products I need to make a connection between
the product and the pricelist. (It will take quite long to do this manually)
How can you make the relationchip between the product and a pricelist
without doing it manually?
I think of doing it with a workflow! but I can't create an Pricelistelement
this way
Maybe a import could do the job ?
Does anyone have a suggestion ?

I have found a solution ;-)
When I make an import file (csv) with all my products (name of it) and fill
out all the other nessary fields regarding the pricelistelement, then I can
make an Import to the pricelistelement and make the relation between the
prodoct and the pricelist.

Hello Kent
You have to as follows
1. Make a pricelist
2. Import some products
3. Import the pricelist elements
ad. 1
Make a pricelist, manually where you choose the currency this pricelist is
used for.
ad. 2
Import all your products with the Import module in Settings
You have to fill out all nessary fills in your csv file. You have to include
header in the csv file. The headers have to be the right field names in your
entity
ad. 3
Now you have both the pricelist and all your products and maybe you already
was on this stage.
You know have to make a list of all your products in an csv file once more.
In this file you have put in all the nessary fields to a pricelist element.
Product, pricelist, price, etc.
When you have imported this, you will see that there will be a relation
between the product and the pricelist.
If you then have another pricelist in another currency you should do stem 3
once again with this pricelist.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask again.

Hi Munk,
I'm in a similar predicament to Kent, i've just managed to import my
products, your hint about having the same headers worked a treat, there
shouldn't really be the map option available if it doesn't work, but thats
for another day !
I'm at step 3 now, and i'm not sure exactly what i need to do..
Do i need to import into the price list entity or the price list item
entity, i cannot find anywhere to export the data in the price list item
entity..
I wonder could you just give me a couple of pointers in the right direction..
Cheers,]Liam
