Does the 'quantity on hand' ever get updated automatically
when a product is sold?
The Quote, Order, or Invoice stages don't seem to have any
effect.

This field is supplied to be integrated to an ERP type
system, and is never updated by CRM. However, it is a
customisation that I am looking at, possibly via a SQL
trigger.
