- Quick Campaign error
- Posted by Frederic @ Traviata on February 15th, 2006
When creating a quick campaign, the last step is to distribute the
campaign activities to the different contacts, i get the following
error.
"you do not have enough priviliges to access the Microsoft CRM object
or perform the requested operation. Contact your system admin."
User is crm admin. No logging in the event viewer + no difference when
dev error are turned on in webconfig file.
Any ideas?

I have just been browsing the forums looking for an answer for precisely this
error. All permissions (roles, etc) seem to be in place. Any help would be
appreciated.

Hi, could you please help me understand the permissions for the following:
Core Entities: "Activities", "E-mail", "Account", "Contact", "Note",
Marketing: "Marketing List", "Campaign",
Business Management: "Mail Merge",
If they are not Solid green circles, just for testing purpose, could you
please mark them green and see if that works?
These permissions can be found under Settings-->Business Unit Settings -->
Security Roles and navigate to the role you're trying to run the quick
campaign as.

Hello Manisha
Thanks for the update.
I am running the Quick Campaign as the System Admin and he has got all
the roles in the system.
I captured the SQL that is used to create the quick Campaign , i did
write small SDK code and i am able to create campaign no issue with
that.
The only failure that i can see is the Platform Error message.
These are the various options that i got suggested.
1. Do a Reapir of the CRM System . Did that didnt work
2. Complete Reinstall of the CRM System. Well i have data in the
databases , so i dont want to do that.
So as of now i am stuck with not able to create any campaigns

He guys,
The solution is to reinstall the server
1) new databases if you can =
2) using the existing db's.
I tried number 2 and now the workflow is working fine.
The quick campaign doesn't remain "in progress"
