Quote without pricelist
Posted by Christian Reusch on July 6th, 2006

Hi,

Is it possible to create a quote without specifying a pricelist?
Is is possible to enter the sum of a quote without adding any articles and
to attach a Word-document?

Best regards, Chris

It does not appear as though one can create a quote without a pricelist
Christian. This is a major oversight by Microsoft if there is no easy
workaround (Im yet to find one) as often companies simply need to pull
products from their general inventory.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rob

Hi Chris,
as a workaround, what you could do is to have a default pricelist (without
any amount associated) and load your oportunity screen with this 'Default
Pricelist' using the OnLoad function. This would ensure that there is a
pricelist associated with teh opportunity (which is what the CRM product
expects) and also that the user would not have to go and specifically choose
any pricelists.

Hope this helps

You can also grant the ability to override the prices to users.

Hi Jij

I understand your reply to Chris and I am in a similar situation however I
was wondering if you perhaps have advice for me as to what I should title the
default price list.

Non - applicable or base? I would greatly appreciate your assistance as to
what the best practice should be?

Thanks
