Issue

What do the values in the ActivityTypeCode field in the cdf_Activity table
for the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data Migration represent?

Resolution

ActivityTypeCode and ActivityTypeCodeName in the cdf_Activity table for the
Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data Migration are the codes and the
corresponding names for the different Activity types in Microsoft CRM.

The following lists the ActivityTypeCode and the corresponding
ActvityTypeCodeName:

134 - Task
136 - Fax
137 - Phone Call
138 - E-mail
140 - Resolution when you close a Case
141 - Letter
142 - Appointment
145 - Resolution when you close an Opportunity
146 - Resolution when you close a Quote
147 - Resolution when you close an Order

For example, if you were migrating a task into Microsoft CRM, the
ActivityTypeCode field would contain the value 134 and the
ActivityTypeCodeName would contain 'Task'.

For more information about the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data
Migration, refer to the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data Migration
Framework Guide. You can find the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data
Migration Framework Guide on the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data
Migration Framework CD in the documentation folder.

Note Values in the ActivityTypeCodeName field are used for reference when
migrating Activities into Microsoft CRM. The values in the ActivityTypeCode
field are the values that will be migrated into Microsoft CRM.

I went into SQL enterprise manager and created a new diagram for the
acitivitybase table and realised that the activitytypecode field was not
linked to another table so must be documented in the knowledgebase..

anyway glad to help
