Also as a followup. MBS have released a new version of the Outlook for CRM
addon. It is being shipped to customers and partners late june so we should
be receiving it pretty soon. I have no information on what is new in that
release. Also have no idea when it will appear on MSDN

The original Sales for Outlook client did not contain the security releases
to protect against the Slammer virus.

As John has mentioned, there is a new release of the Sales for Outlook
client that is either in shipping or already arrived for Partners and
registered customers. That same release will be posted soon (no exact date
that I have seen) on MSDN. This new release contains an update to MSDE that
contains the updates that will protect against the Slammer virus. In
addition, we have re-architected the way in which MSDE is installed to make
future such security releases easier to install, rather than requiring a
complete re-release of code to incorporate the latest such security patches.
