That´s right, but there are two new certifications:
Microsoft Business Solutions
Certified Master–Microsoft CRM Installation & Configuration
AND
Microsoft Business Solutions
Certified Master–Microsoft CRM Developer
Master level certifications are Microsoft Business Solutions premier
certifications. They are an accumulation of exams that satisfy certain
predefined requirements. Each Master level certification requirement contains
core exams that are required and possible elective exams in which a specified
number within a pool of exams are required. Together with the core exams, the
elective exams provide a valid and reliable measure of proficiency and
expertise in a specific product area. Along with Master level certifications
showing an individual’s broad and more mature product knowledge base, it can
be used for marketing a partner organization and as organizational points in
the Microsoft Partner Program.

Is it just like any other exams which u can take in a prometric/vue test
center. Or is it available across only select locations. Does any one know
the exam codes?

All the contituent exams are available to anyone.
What is concealed on Partnersource is what the constituents (and the
equivalents) are for each of the two master certifications.
To give you an idea:
Certified Master - CRM Installation & Configuation - is 6 exams - one
possible combination:-
CRM Instal & Config;
CRM Customization;
Sql 2000 Admin;
Exchange 2003 Admin,
Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment;
Windows 2003 Security Design

Im a Microsoft certified partner and have gone all the stuff available on the
site(almost). Can anybody tell me exam codes for these crm exams. Can it be
taken from any certfied VUE/prometric test centers across the globe like
other MCP exams?

But I'm having trouble signing up for the 421 exam, it won't let me sign up
without an "Authorized Number" which, if I have one, I certainly don't know
it!

I noticed there are no book recources noted on the official preparation
guide webpage...
Has anyone passed the exam without taking any of the (online or classroom)
courses? What resources (books, etc) did you use then?
