Reinstallation of Outlook CRM Client - Tracked Contacts/Emails

I was wondering what would happen if a CRM user tracked some contacts in
Outlook and then received a new machine where the CRM client would have to be
installed again for Outlook. If synchronization is set up for contacts, what
would happen to the contacts in CRM and Outlook? Would the new Outlook
installation contain the original Outlook contacts and links to the CRM
contacts?
