- Remove case from queue
- Posted by Manso on January 23rd, 2008
Hi all,
I do the following in CRM 4.0
1. Create a case with myself as owner
2. Create an activity related to the newly created case
3. Assign case to queue ABC
4. Go to queue ABC and remove the case
No error messages logged but the case still appears in queue. If I try and
open it it bombs out saying it can't find the case. Now I can't remove the
queueitem.
Can someone else reproduce this behavior? Running RTM as System Administrator.
Thanks,
- Manso

Hi Manso,
I am currently searching the internet for exactly the same issue.
Not found anything yet.
If I delete emails from the queue by opening the email and using
actions/delete, the item remains in the queue-view.
When I try to open the email or delete it using the icon in the queue, an
error message appears telling me that the dataset could not be found :-(

Hi Stefan,
Did you ever find a solution to this issue?
Many thanks,
Manso

After contacting PSS I found out that this was a known bug after an upgrade
and dev is working on a fix.

My Reseller has opened a case this week, good to know they are working on a
fix right now.

Has there been any updates on this? I am having to manually remove the
items.

No, not yet. I'll update this thread once we get the fix. PSS can't answer
when it will happen but it shouldn't be too long...

Soo.. What happened to this fix? I read this post in early March, having the
same problem, but still no answer to this thread? Is there a hotfix for this
available now?

I posted another question about this problem in this thread:
http://www.microsoft.com/Businesssol...9-adad95312370
A partial solution was mentioned there. The last post describes what I did
to allow records to be properly deleted. There still isn't a fix for the
existing dead records stuck in the queue, though.
