- Removing Quotes, Opportunities, Invoices Tab
- Posted by Nicos Papaioannou on September 10th, 2004
Is there a way to remove the quotes, opportunities and invoices tab
from the 'Sales' section of the 'Account' record ?
Our client does not use any of the opportunities, quotes and invoices
records and those tabs are very disturbing.
If not, is there a way to change the tab order ?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Simply remove all security privileges for all user roles on those objects.
The tabs will vanish

Make sure you don't remove the privs from your Admin role though, otherwise
it'll be hard to get them back. ;-)

As mentioned in my upcoming faq...i also recommend you have two people in
the CRM system with admin privelages. I wonder if microsoft should lock an
admin role so that at the least you cannot delete privelages for the admin
role. I have seen many companies where users have removed admin privelages
or even removed themself. Hoping CRM 2005 will stop this happening.
