Reports - Crystal Reports Logon Error
Posted by Jij on July 14th, 2005

I have installed MSCRM 1.2.
I have created a separate native mode domain for CRM as our organization
does not sit on a Native mode domain.
I have all the reports published.
Im able to view all the reports if i login to the application from a machine
in the domain in which we have the CRM server set up or from the normal
organization domain .This applies to all users.
We have some users whose machines are not part of the CRM domain nor the
organization domain. (but they have been given a separate CRM domain username
to access the CRM system).
So they login to the CRM application using the credentials crm\username and
the password.
These users are able to view everything apart from the reports.
They get the Crystal Reports Logon Error "Please verfiy that you have enough
licenses, "
Im running all the crystal services under Local System account as is my SQL
server.
I have installed the CRM Server, the SQL server on the same Win 2003 server
machine.
I have also rebuild the Crystal APS database. But that too was of not much
help.
Im confused with addition of 'Administrator' to the different groups in the
active directory like BuiltIn, PreWindows 2000 compatible group etc.
Which is the right combination that ensures that reports can be viewed from
anywhere
Any help appreciated..
thanks

Something you might want to try (sometimes it can fix some issues), is to
open the Crystal Enterprise Manager and select all the services in the list,
press stop and wait till all the services stopped. They start them up again.
This MIGHT solve the problem.

Also make sure you installed the latest Crystal patch for Microsoft CRM
which can be found on the Business Objects internetsite (can be difficult to
find).

I hope this helps,
