Sales for Outlook on non domain connected PC's
Posted by Byron Wilkinson on June 22nd, 2005

I have some mahines where outlook accesses exchange via SSL over the net.
This uses the same technology that allows OWA, but acts like a proxying
function so that you can use the full exchange client in cached mode.

My problem is that these machines, while having access to the CRM URL, are
not, and never have been part of the domain. It appears that not only does
you PC have to be a part of the machine, but the account that you install SFO
on needs to be a domain member.

Is there a way to install it in a way that you have to authenticate against
the domain, but can remain aseparate from it???
