- Sales For Outlook - Offline
- Posted by Gary on November 18th, 2003
Our offline feature still doesn't work
We get this error:
An error has occured. For more information, contact your system
administrator.
Everything else works fine (both IE and Outlook browsers for CRM).
I thought it was the publicatoins so I tried disabling our publications and
then recreating them using the stored procedure mentioned here:
http://www.greatplains.com/techknowl...9538&target=PS
still nothing.
I have no idea what to try now. I've searched all of techknowledge and found
nothing useful. I've made a call to MS, but I have a feeling they won't be
able to fix this.
Anyone have a suggestion on where to look next? I have NO errors on my
workstation and see NO errors on either server (exchange, sql, crm).

Gary,
I am chasing this issue down currently on our implementation. One question,
open Query Analyzer and see if you have any data in the Entity table in the
METABASE.

Yes, the local MSDE on my workstation properly downloads all the data from
the SQL server.
I had a one hour call with MS where I had their Lead Tech on board (they
even connected to me to see what I see), and they couldn't resolve
it.........and they tried just about everything.
Whatever it is, it's highly undocumented, never seen before, and might take
some while to fix (if at all possible).
