Sales for Outlook on Outlook 2003 Beta
Posted by ShaneC on July 29th, 2003

Hi guys,

Any of you tried to install the Sales for Outlook client
on the new Outlook 2003 beta? It complains that it must
be installed on Outlook 2000 SP2 or later. Well, 2003 is
later!

Any ideas?

Shane, I am trying to do the same thing. There has to be some kind of
hotfix for this or something. Would you email me if you find something
and i will do the same thing if i find anything too!

Thanks
Dennis Jr

Hi Dennis,

There is a new version available from MSDN subscriber
downloads (about 150MB). This June version does install
in Outlook 2003 and installs MSDE SP3a but gives a
warning that it is not officially supported. It installed
100% but after the reboot when you open Outlook it gave
me an error "An error occurred while installing Microsoft
CRM folders". It did create some of the folders and it
seems to be working fine. I am not sure what folders
should be accessible from Outlook.

Hope this helps!
