Sales process in the left pane of the Opportunity form

Does anyone know what the Sales Process section means, on the left pane of
an Opportunity?
When I click on it, there's just a static view and there is nothing we can
do... at all!

Thaks for the help.

Hi,
Sales processes are set up using the workflow manager. Please review the
documentation!

You can create a sales process in workflow maanger. This process can have
multiple stages, each one with actvities to complete etc.

When you acticate it and a user creates a new oportunity ou will get an
active sales process. Now when you open up the opportunity and click on the
sales process button on the left you will the sales process on the right

A sales process is used when you want your sales people to follow a defined
sales methodloy or just to try to keep everyone on the same track.
