Setup problem
Posted by Paul Speranza on July 1st, 2003

I have installed the CRM app from the MSDN disks but cannot access it with
any browser. I am admin on the server - Win 2003. Setup went perfectly.

I tried the Deployment Manager and enter the license key from my MSDN
subscription and it keeps telling me to enter a valid license key.

I tried to add a user, pick the admin and it saysI don't have privileges

I'm stuck and would appreciate some guidance.

Regards,

Paul

when you try to go into deployment manager are you logged on to the server
as the same use you installed the software with.

While Server 2003 is not supported you may have been lucky and got it to
install. Microsoft are testing CRM on server 2003 so hopefully they will
officially support it at some point as server 2003 is an excellent product

The license key is specfic with the Organazations name. If
your organzation is registered as "Acme Steel" and during
setup you just put in "Acme" the license will not work.

Paul,

I am also trying to install CRM 1.0 to Windows 2003 system.

Your CRM Server, SQL Server and Exchange are the same machines or are they
different ones.

Before installing CRM , did you do any special configurations for your SQL,
Exchange Active Directory Servers?

Regards.
