- Share Portal and CRM on same server
- Posted by CRMNoobs on February 2nd, 2004
Hi
I have seen a post in this newsgroup saying that CRM and Share portal 2003
can coexist on the same server:
Before we start the server installation etc... is there anything we need to
be aware first before going ahead with this.
I know that both products have their own sites etc...
any tips ofr installing both products onto the same server? i.e in what
order ?
Regards
J

I don't have tips on what to install first (would it matter), but all I can
say is backup IIS all along the way because I installed CRM and it wiped
out my SharePoint site.

Chapter 15 of the CRM Implementation guide talks about installing on SBS
2003 and in particular tells you to create a new website for crm

I did this and it still wiped out my sharepoint site. So something's up.

I have been investigating this and you are suppose to Install CRM first and
then Shareportal (u need to create a new site for Share portal)
I will update this newsgroup by the end of the day.
