- Siebel to CDF to MS CRM migration
- Posted by Todd Parker on August 21st, 2003
We are migrating from siebel to microsoft crm useing the
data migration framewaork with the CDS database. We are
trying to use SQL 2000 DTS to copy the data into the CDF
staging database. The problem we are experiencing is we
cannot copy accross the accountID becuase it is a unique
field (reffer to page 30 of data migration framework).
Any suggestions. The data migration framewaork reffers
to triggers? not sure what this means.

AccountID should be a unique field in the source data as well, if I remember
my Siebel correctly....
A trigger is fired as a result of something being added, updated or deleted
in the SQL Server table. When you run DTS packages, find and uncheck the
"fast load" option, or the required triggers will not fire, and the
migration will fail.
