Solution to CRMEmail Router ver 3.0
Posted by Bojan Buhac on January 30th, 2006

Hi,

It is my turn to repay my dues.

Problem desription:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Upgraded from 1.2 to 3.0 - went without problems
Email router 1.2 uninstalled
Follow Microsoft instruction on how to create CRM email account and add it
to PrivUser group (ALSO EXCHANGE SERVER)
then installed Email router 3.0 - successful but no any email traffic
Solution to my problem: (if you can see your self try it)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
relay the CRM email from CRM's server SMTP service to EXCHANGE

Procedure: (in my case)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the CRM server go to IIS admin console, right click SMTP > Properties
Access > Connection > Only the list below (Add IP of your Exchange) > OK
Access > Relay > Only the list below (Add IP of your Exchange) > OK
Delivery > Advanced > Smart host (FQDN of Exchange) (Not sure that it's
neccessary)
!!!Restart SMTP service!!!!
On Exchange server go to General Manager > exchange server > Protocols >
Right click Default SMTP Virtual Server
Access > Relay > Only the list below (Add IP of your Exchange) > OK
Thats all
Hope this helps
...
