special charaters in username should be validated
Posted by Bala on September 5th, 2005

hi

There is no field validation for the special characters when creating new
users in Microsoft CRM. When creating new user, even though we give apostrophe
in the last name or first name of user (e.g.: Dan O’Connell), it allow the
administrator to save the information .These users in Microsoft CRM are
unable to perform some operation like resolving the Cases assigned to them.
When ever the user tries to do that action, it throughs “A SAX error
occurred: 'Required white space was missing.” (i.e. A parse error was
encountered in the XML) error message. It would we very helpful if the user
information is validated for the special character (like apostrophe) before
creating the user in Microsoft CRM.
