- A SQL Server Error has occurred
- Posted by Sir W on September 16th, 2005
We can't fully migrate all our contacts into CRM using CRM Data
Migration Framework.
During the full migration we get the error "A SQL Server Error has
occurred" with no reason or explanation.
How can we troubleshoot the problem? Is there a way to understand which
is the offending record or the reason for the error?
The MOC 8018A states that "log fil errors show the entire XML document
that is being passed to Microsoft CRm to help identify the problem" but
I can't find it either.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Andrea

Just to add some complications to this issue, I tried to restart the
CRM Data Migration Framework a couple of times and evrytime it's able
to add a few more contacts (usually 6 or 7) then stops again with the
same "A SQL Server Error has occurred". I don't understand what's going
on and it's really unbelievable that there is no useful log to
troubleshoot the issue.
Any help?
Thanks,
Andrea
