It is important to monitor your Microsoft SQL Server and maintain your log
files etc. to keep performance up. If your problem is not related to bad
maintenance of your databases, you can try to take a look at KB860773 to see
how you can modify the default time out settings on the Microsoft CRM
server.
If I understood you correctly, it is not a problem you have experienced from
the beginning - therefore you should try to find the reason for the bad
performance. Did something happen to your IT-environment a couple of days
ago, did you customise your solution, is it related to data volumes on the
Microsoft SQL server or more users/ new user behaviour?
Good luck, Sherlock!
